Adventures In The Bizarre

Bizarro hasn't been on the tail of end of such a nasty beating in a long time.

Then again, the supervillain never really saw it coming. For reasons known only to Bizarro himself, he decided to raid a local McDonalds, making off with not just a giant satchel of breakfast burritos but also a life-size statue of Grimace. He got ten feet into the air when a plasma blast knocked him to the ground, the Grimace statue shattering and his precious breakfast burritos quickly dragged away by an enterprising hobo. At that point, Bizarro had other problems to worry about.

"Me love you, horny gold guy!" Bizarro roars, charging down at Magog again. In response, Magog only plants himself firmly and waits for Bizarro to reach melee distance. After enough blasts, the big brute learned to dodge them, at least when he has time to.

By now, Magog's figured out something's up. He thought it was Superman when he blasted him from behind, but now he's not so sure. Superman was much stronger than this guy, and suffered no speech impediments. The chalk-white skin is also a giveaway. But whoever he is, he's dressed in Superman's livery, and victimizing people the way Superman did. Reid won't hesitate to put him down.

"Feeling's not mutual..." Magog growls, catching Bizarro right in his chalk-white jaw and bodily hurling him to the ground. Bizarro's eyes flash as he uses his ice vision, but Magog simply twists his head to the side, grabbing Bizarro's face and slamming it into the dirt roughly. Straddling the villain, he slams his face again and again. Bizarro struggles to rise from under him but can't throw off Magog's considerable weight. He has Bizarro pinned.

Keifer David - Omen

Satisfied she's not going to attack him, Magog takes another peek out the window.

Still clear. He returns to Tora on the sofa, standing by the armchair.

"That guy I was fighting in the park... you know who he is?"

Re: A Few Hours Later...

"I do. That was Bizarro. He's a duplicate of Superman..." Cocking her head to one side, she seems puzzled. "It's a little odd that you don't know who he is, actually. I don't suppose you've been hiding under a convenient rock for the past decade... or two?" A dimpled smile as she sips again from the coffee -- having determined that he's not going to try to hurt her, she's going to make herself comfortable.

Re: A Few Hours Later...

"Ah..." Tora hit awfully close to the truth there, and while he's pretty sure she's not a double agent, he's still not sure he can trust her yet. No matter what Superman did, here he's still a hero. Or at least believed to be a hero.

"I lived on a farm in Iowa." he confesses, preferring to go with as much of the truth as possible. "Didn't get out much."

Better to steer the conversation back to less treacherous waters. "You said you were part of the League, right?"

From the armchair he picks up her phone, emblazoned with the symbol of the League. It's still flashing.

"I'm surprised they haven't sent someone after you by now, to be honest." Well, now it's clear why he's been checking the windows.

Re: A Few Hours Later...

"Oh no... how long was I out?" One hand is outstretched for the device.

Re: A Few Hours Later...
Wash It Away

"Just under half an hour."

He seems to hesitate for a moment, but he gives her back the device.

In truth, he wants to ask more. To find out who's on the League with her. To ask about Superman. But he doesn't want to do anything that might cause any more trouble. He reminds himself that this isn't the world he came from. He can't just charge in and beat Superman to a pulp. He has to be careful. He's here to stop the future he lived from happening, not to create a worse one.

Donning his helmet again, he looks back to Tora on the couch. He can hear a tinny female voice from her machine. Sticking around would almost certainly lead to another fight. He picks up his lance, planning to leave before she finishes her call.

Re: A Few Hours Later...

A blue light blinks in her ear as she flips open the device and listens for a moment.

"No, I'm fine. Bizarro got away, though." Another pause. "No, there's no need. I'll be fine." A glance over at her rescuer as she listens.

"I'll make a full report, sir. Thank you." The device is snapped shut and clipped back onto her belt.

"You don't have to worry -- they're not going to send anyone to look for me now." He seems to be trying to leave, presumably to avoid interaction with anyone else from the League. And this makes Tora a little curious.

The Atoner

Well, damn. Caught dead to rights. He looks somewhat embarrassed to be put on the spot.

"Are you sure that's a good idea? That Bizarro thing we fought might come back..."

His attempt to make an excuse is painfully transparent. Deception is clearly not Magog's forte.

Re: A Few Hours Later...

"I'm pretty sure he's not going to come back. I mean..." Looking down, she tries to remember what exactly happened, frowning as she thinks.

"What exactly happened? I remember talking to you, something about the League, and then it all goes fuzzy. Did-- Did he get away?"
